Live beat-maker and multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones will be taking over the Addicted Stage with all things House again this summer.
From Cutting his teeth at open mic clubs around London, Jax eventually came together with an up-and-coming grime producer and worked on notable releases for Big Narstie and Roadside Gs, among others in the scene.
But it was after meeting Grammy Nominee Duke Dumont that Jax Jones career skyrocketed and his passion for house music developed. The collaboration resulted in them co-writing and producing the globally chart topping tracks ‘I Got U’ that got itself to Number 1 in the Uk Charts in 2014 as well as ‘Won’t Look back’ & ‘Ocean Drive’.
Since then Jax has lent his remixing skills to tracks by Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith & Missy Elliot amongst others. As well as co-writing another banger ‘Text From Your Ex’ with Brit Award Winning Hip Hop Artist Tinie Tempah.
2016 saw Jax Jones find himself firmly back in the UK Singles Chart with his latest collaboration reaching Number 3. The track features RAYE who was short-listed for the BBC Music Sound of… award for 2017 and smashed her way to third place. ‘You Don’t Know Me’ is a feel good summer anthem that has been everywhere since its release.
The track saw Jax Jones break his way into the Brits for the first time. His collaboration with RAYE landed him firmly on the British Single shortlist.
Jax says of the track, “The vocal was inspired by a lot of bashment and general
bravado…I’ve always been obsessed with the Booka Shade and MANDY Body Language track – its been a staple in my DJ sets – so I tried it and it was lit. We approached them and I was honoured when they gave me approval to use their notes.”
This collaboration was shortly followed by an epic and unexpected team up with Grammy Nominated and Multi Platinum Popstar Demi Lovato & Straight talking MC and Singer Stefflon Don on the girl power track ‘Instruction’.
He then went on to release ‘Breathe’ which is another floor filler that dominated the charts in 2017 reaching number 7… It was be blaring through speakers across the world all summer long last year.
That brings us to 2019, Jax hasn’t stopped producing bangers with tracks like ‘Ring Ring’ ft Mabel reaching number 12, ‘Play’ ft Years & Years hitting the number 8 spot and his new release with the legend Martin Solveig ‘All Day and Night’
With headlining appearances under his belt at Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Amnesia & Ushuaia Jax Jones was an absolute must for the Addicted 2019 Lineup and he takes 2 of our headline slots in July.
